2026 AAA/ Majors/C-Prep Information

AYL AAA/Majors/C-Prep 2026 Season information

 

Registration/Payment:

Online team registration for the AYL league begins October 15, 2025. Each player will register individually and the team will pay with a single payment as stated below. The team fee will be added to the registration from the coaches child.

Teams must be fully registered online and paid for by February 2, 2026. Returning teams from the previous season will be granted higher priority over new teams wishing to play AYL League/ Raptors baseball. 

Team Payment will be added to the registration of the player associated with the head coach.

Raptors does allow independent baseball teams to play within AYL league so long as the teams meet the territorial requirements of AYL. If a team does not meet the territorial requirements, then they will need ot be in communication with the director of baseball. (see AYL baseball roster rules). 


2026 AAA/Majors Season Overview

(Ages 8 - 13)

  • League games start in the last week of March 2026 for all ages, games will be played Monday through Thursday. The league will determine the nights of play by age, In 2025 they were as follows: Tuesday's ages: 9 & 10, Wednesday's ages: 8 & 13 and Thursday's ages: 11 & 12. However, games can be played on any weeknight available.
  • The league will attempt to over-schedule games on all playable days/dates within the online described league calendar (listed on the AYL Baseball homepage) With the overscheduling model, games lost due to inclement weather will not be made up, unless approved by the AYL board.  
  • Ages 8 and 9 AAA/MAJ league games will conclude with Championships played June 17/18, 2026.
  • Ages 10-13 AAA/MAJ league games will conclude with Championships played June 3, 2026.  
  • No bye requests for regular season or playoff games are allowed.  
  • The division size(s) (number of teams) will be determined by the AYL BOD. All teams will be reviewed and seeded to determine the appropriate participation level for each team.
  • At the conclusion of the regular season play, all teams will participate in a single elimination playoff. The playoffs will begin in late May and conclude by the end of June. Championship Rings will be awarded to the top 2 teams participating in the World Series game. There are no trophies for regular season finish.
  • Any team that is unavailable for the playoffs or World Series due to outside tournament conflicts or travel will be removed from the end of season AYL playoffs.
  • The above described season is subject to change at any time by the AYL Baseball BOD.


Team Pricing for AAA/Majors within the AYL AAA league for 2026 is as follows:


AAA / MAJORS - Basic Information

Practice Commitment:
  • AAA / Major teams receive two (2) 90 minute practice slots in or around the Castle Rock area per week.
  • Teams requesting two practices per week will be scheduled for a total of 40 practices.
  • Teams requesting one practice per week will be scheduled for a total of 20 practices.
  • If additional practice times are available, they may be requested at an additional fee.   
  • Head coach may issue additional indoor/outdoor practice outside of the Raptors schedule at their cost to the team.
  • Practices will not be scheduled on game nights
  • Please arrive to practice on time as teams move on and off the field on the hour
  • Practice schedule is updated twice per month and sent to the head coach for communication to the team 
  • Canceled practices by the Raptors due to weather or game related make-ups will not be rescheduled unless additional practice times are available
  • Practice schedule will change when permit availability changes, usually monthly
  • We do our best to ensure that team practice slots are consistent; however, there are times where you may be switching fields and times that were different from the prior week/month
  • There is no trespassing on any field that is locked

Game Commitment:
  • AAA teams will have one to two game(s) scheduled per week on the following days with the AYL season: Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
  • 8U and 9U may play multiple times per week 
  • Teams will play double headers when scheduling necessity is present.
  • All game changes are updated and posted in AYL Baseball website. www.aylsports.org
  • AYL Baseball will cancel games at it's discretion with weather related issues.
  • There is no minimum tempature that must be met for AYL to allow game play.
  • AYL does not reschedule weather related cancelations unless deemed necessary by the AYL board.
  • Arrival time to games is based on coaches preference (usually one hour prior)
  • Games are scheduled at either 5:30 or 7:30 - daylight savings may effect game times to earlier or later for fields with no lights, or dependent on high school schedules
  • Raptors territory home game fields are Metzler's and Douglas County Fairgrounds.
  • Home games are not guaranteed to be played at home fields
  • AAA / Majors teams plays against other club member teams in the AYL, and could be other teams within the Raptors territory
  • Games are held throughout the Denver metro area


Team Formation:
  • Roster availability for new athletes is designated by the head coach. 
  • Raptors has no influence on placement or rosters of AAA teams.
  • Team coaching staff has the final say on roster.
  • New head coaches are required to fill out coaching documents including application, concussion training certificate, coaches agreement and are and subject to background check
  • AAA Teams are not required to wear Raptors uniforms or gear and may choose the team identity of their choice
  • Teams will have all AYL or Raptors sponsored events covered under Raptors provided team insurance.
  • Tournaments, games, scrimmages or optional practices that are not provided and scheduled by the Raptors organization are not covered under the Raptors team insurance.
  • If athlete does not make a AAA/Majors team, they can still be placed at the AA level

PASS THRU TEAMS

Pass-thru teams are defined as any team that is wanting to rent practice facilities from Raptors without playing in AYL's AAA league.

2026 might offer limited availability for pass through teams with Raptors.

Our AYL programs have grown to the point where teams will be required to playing within the AYL to have access to practice facilities.

  • If Raptors does not hit our projected number of AYL teams for 2026, then pass thru opportunities will open up starting February 13, 2026.
  • Practices will only be available for March 2, 2025 - July 10, 2025
  • Pass Thru teams will be scheduled within the same scheduling system as Raptors teams
  • Practices that are cancelled due to field closures/weather issues will not be made up or replaced.


PassThru teams pricing:

Practice 1 night per week - $2500(19 total practices)

Practice 2 nights per week - $5000(38 total practices)
